Hector Vila...Tango Singer
Hector was born in Corrientes, Argentina 46 years ago and is doctor of homeopathy at the Institute of Cardiology of Corrientes. His relation with music began when he was very young as he began to take guitar classes and to interpret folklore, integrated several vocal groups,Paraná 4, Mailen Voces y Canto Vital.
In 2003, he started to sing tango solo accompanied by the guitarist, Gory Varela, and included all the tangueros styles from the classic ones: Manzi, Discépolo, Cadícamo to the contemporaries: Piazzolla, E. Blázquez, Cacho Castaña.
In 2004, he shared a theater scene with Juan de Vera with the vocal group Opus Cuatro in a spectacle exclusively dedicated to the tango. It had performances in Resistance, Chaco and in cities of the interior of Corrientes.
These are the contents of his first CD which was recorded in Estudios Dracma Producción Digital (Corrientes, Argentina) in July 2005, and produced by Cruz Currier, wine importer (Burlington, Vermont, U.S.A.); it was designed by Lisa Cadieux of Liquid Studios of the same city, and was duplicated by PremiumDisc in Canada. The photographs were the work of Allan Cruz and David Matthews. The producers Douglas Currier, Noemi Argañaraz de Currier, and Allan Cross have put together artistic tango events.
